Just got this email re: the box set Lafayette.
http://www.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=JMEWEB&sku=JME59062A great selection of 19 CD’s for $150.00
This may not apply to you Lafayette as you probably have em’ all 🙂 but I would love to pick this one up at my local record shop in December.lwj
November 26, 2013 at 7:23 am #42850LafayetteParticipantYes, not only do I have most of them, I have ALL of them. 😯
It’s a great compilation – a great investment, in my humble opinion. 🙂

Wonderfull news Lafayette, especially tour to Canada.
I’m assuming the other 2 favorites are Lu and Amos.
Re: JM I didn’t open my e-mail until Sat. morning and missed John’s live stream from Las Vegas for the NASCAR awards ceremony and I don’t receive FOX Sports on TV for the Sunday re-broadcast but did find a short sample of Pink Houses from the show in case you also missed it.

I’m early with my annual post on the JM thread, CB. I’m sure you’re going to want to run out and buy the March issue of Arch Digest! 🙂
February 7, 2014 at 5:00 pm #42855LafayetteParticipantWell, Well, Well, of course, I will add this monthly to my growing collection of magazines featuring JM. This one will find good company with a previous Architecture Digest highlighting his Bloomington, IN home(base)/mansion, in addition to a Country Digest featuring the log cabin he owned, which I believe, but has not been confirmed, was the impetus behind “Ghost Brothers of Darkland County.”
This particular home, in this month’s AD, will be more difficult to ‘drive by’ since I don’t own a boat. His Bloomingtoom home and nearby recording studio, a bit easier. 8)
Looking forward to your 2015 post! 🙂

Two JM posts in the same calendar year! 😯 Tell him to lose the cigarette, CB! 🙄
February 23, 2014 at 6:15 am #42857LafayetteParticipantSpeechless on TWO posts regarding my main squeeze — not only in one calendar year, but weeks apart!
Unfortunately, JM will more than likely die with a cigarette in his hand. Did I ever mention I have two of his cigarette butts? One from a show at the China Club in NYC – 500 people and I was at the stage, one person right of center of his microphone. He dropped it on the stage and I retrieved it afterwards. The second one he dropped to me from the stage at a concert in Evansville, IN. 😯
Strangest souvenirs, ever.

March 23, 2014 at 3:45 am #42859LafayetteParticipantNiagara Falls will not work for me, lwj with 4th of July weekend. I’m planning on the Windsor show.
As a heads up, this is a greatest hits show, and if you want to spend your dollars wisely, I would wait for JM until next year. However, if you’re interested in seeing JM and can make it to Windsor, there is a good possibility my better half wil be at that show.

Not sure if the ticket price to “Ghost Brothers of Darkland County” are too steep for your pocketbook, however, I highly recommend seeing this show. It makes its way to Massey Hall in Toronto.
Spectacular production.

Thanks Lafayette, Tickets are $42. to $85 at Massey Hall on November 11th.
Tell me, is this a full play format plus part film and who might be participating live from JM’s band ?
This looks like a very unique show and I’ll pencil in on my calendar.lwj
June 24, 2014 at 3:37 am #42862LafayetteParticipantThis is a full format musical, no film involved, and the house band several of JM’s backing band, including Andy York, Jon E. Gee, Dane Clark, and Troye Kinnett.
The production, at least the last time I saw it, has been scaled back with the format of an old radio play. The story is moved by the songs, not by the characters.

July 1, 2014 at 6:13 am #42863LafayetteParticipantJM is releasing “Trouble No More” recorded live in NYC at Town Hall in 2003. “Lafayette” is included in the track listing. Releases on July 8. USA Today premiered one of the tracks, “John The Revelator.”
