    Many of you know Doug Pettibone will be touring with John Mayer on guitar and pedal steel starting July 4 and going all the way into October!! Jeezuz.

    John Mayer will be perfoming on the Today Show this Friday morning, July 5. I have set my DVR accordingly. 8)

    In a related development, John Mayer’s tour starts today in Philly at a festival called the Philly 4th of July Jam. VH1 televises starting at 8 eastern time.

    P.S. This just in. John Mayer is playing with The Roots tonite, not his own band. No Doug. Nevermind. 😥

    I didn’t need to set the DVR and watched the show live.

    Doug looked good. A tad under utilized. Maybe by the end of the tour he will be cutting loose. 🙂

    Last night (Aug. 19), Doug played with John’s band on David Letterman’s show. The tune ‘Wildfire’ sounded very nice! Here’s a link to the performance:
