ParticipantFond memories of seeing the likes of Anne McCue and Sara Petite there, tony. Any news from anyone in the band? Gram Parsons country thereabouts, much mystical about that area.

You might have to go public with this narrative now. Didn’t the band member in question say the artist in question was “American?” NORTH American, I suppose.
Did Peter Gabriel really cut “Suzanne?”

KeymasterYour right the clues were not in good order. I’ve not been released to tell the story. 8)

ParticipantI’m planning on going to see Jim in Buffalo , NY at the Sportsmen’s Tavern 7/17/14.
Jim will start off solo in the first set and will be joined by a local group the Stone Country Band for the 2nd set.
It’s a great dive venue with good food, friendly staff and a balcony.
I was there in Sep./12 to see Gurf Morlix so it will be a special treat to meet another musician connected with Lu from the earlier years.I remember how Jim managed to return from Bristol, TN to join Lu for several songs at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville last fall. I still have the Lightning 100 recording on my laptop.
Should be a great evening for $25.00
Here are the details.

the phrase “connected with Lu from the earlier years” loosely unites Morlix and Lauderdale, yes, but paths have diverged in more recent history. . . .
I too managed I-40 in record time, lwj, that fateful last fall. Bristol headliners this year, by the way, will be Emmylou Harris and jeff Tweedy.
