I saw Jim Bianco last Saturday at Zoeys in Ventura. My pals the Northstar Session opened for him. I had no idea who he was before this. He is an excellent songwriter and he sings and played guitar. He had a great band with him, including some horn players. His music is very idiosyncratic and has a lot of humor to it. I asked him where he was from and he said New York and LA. Not sure what that meant, but he has a lot of New York in him.
His latest CD is called Loudmouth. It’s excellent. See him if you get the chance.
