    I’ve had to drive by that landmark motel for years… i always give a nod to janis when i do….i skip on staying there tho, same with the gram parsons room in joshua tree…i’ll go in and party with friends, but i don’t wanna sleep there………!

    I think that it’s great you give a nod in memory of Janis. I haven’t forgotten her either. Growing up, my mom had the album “Pearl”. I must have listened to it a million times. I also love the kozmic blues album. Let me tell you she put a whole new twist on a Bee Gees song (at least I think it was written by Barry Gibb). Have you heard her version of “To Love Somebody”? Way awesome.
