Received my tickets in the mail last week from the State Theatre, buffa. Not sure why it isn’t listed here… 😕

    P.S. – Welcome to the Forum. 🙂

Holy Nabokov-at-Cornell, Lefty, you inspired me to consult High Road by way of cross reference: many NE/MidAtlantic late summer goodies, though damn these early-start semester calendars in my case. One of the shows is even in a city where I once saw the otherwise California-bound TonyG. Some serious planning is in store once I land back on American shores later this week.

Never heard of the Academy of Music in Northampton, Mr. S. Prescott Park in Portsmouth was a fun night.

Thinking about making the trip from buffalo for the show tomorrow. Anybody have any ideas on my best option for really good seats? Thank you.

It was a good, good night in the PRI…equally sultry & sweaty outside and inside the venerable State Theatre, an old warhorse of a music hall with good bones, as they say.

Ms. Williams was in excellent voice, and the boys were blistering.

Sorry for the incomplete list…maybe buffa or leafs or somebody else can fill in the remainder:

    Protection
    Pineola
    Drunken Angel
    West Memphis
    East Side of Town
    Jackson
    Ghosts
When I Look at the World
Fruits of My Labor (w/ an uneventful restart)
    Can’t Close the Door
    Dust
    Steal Your Love
    Changed the Locks
    Unsuffer Me
    Essence
    Foolishness
    Joy

It was a great night of music. It was my first time at the State Theatre. The hall sounded great but the AC either wasn’t working or it needed to be ungraded. The seats need to be replaced too, they weren’t very comfortable. either. Buick 6 was in fine form and played a 40 minute set. Lu and the band played close to a two hour set including songs from the newest CD and all facets of her career. It was a great night.

She also did a solo Acoustic version of “The Ghosts of Highway 20”
It thought the Donald Trump line in “Foolishness” was interesting too.

One by one, we seem to be on the verge of a comprehensive Ithaca setlist post. . . . NOrthampton anyone?
