Garland Jeffreys – The King of In Between
My high expectations have been exceeded. I’ve just nominated TKoIB as a Top 10 Album of 2011 (joining Blessed, of course). Glad you’re back in play, GJ.

    “Circuital” – My Morning Jacket

Another weirdly wonderful record by these boys — I’m hearing the Who, Burt Bacharach, the Ramones, Bananarama, Paul Rodgers of Bad Company…

It’s always good to see such unanimity among friends: the verdict seems identical on both coasts, if 25 hours apart. Welcome back to the land of postings, Tim.

Ok. I am now listening non-stop to Amos Lee’s self-titled album. I don’t have the other 2 but hope to buy them at the show on Saturday.

    ^Two thumbs up^

I’ve posted this before, but here are two favorite YouTubes of mine:

Supply and Demand (on someone’s coach…an organic kind of jam with Jaron and Mutlu)

“Colors” from Austin City Limits. He appeared on the show along with John Prine (one of his heavy musical influences) Scroll to bottom of page, video is embedded.

Awesome. There is a lot of Amos on youtube.

He taped a show yesterday in Tuscon for “Artists Den” on PBS. Coming to a TV near you soon I hope.

You In Reverse has been on the turntable constantly….

    “Some things never change
    Something’s gotta change that
    Some things you can’t explain
Like why were all embracing conventional wisdom in a world that’s just so unconventional”
