Thanks for mentioning the DTB. Another great slide player is the guy that plays on the Cactus Hunters albums. I recently got the second Cactus Hunters album, and just like the first one the slide playing is superb. The second album also has a steel player that is tasty as all hell. I think he’s the steel player from Chuck Prophet’s band.

Just hit the local record shop and they had some GREAT used vinyl for $3 or less a piece. On the player lately:

    John Hammond – Source Point
Linda Rondstadt – Hasten Down the Wind
Zappa – You Can’t Do That Onstage Anymore
Buffy Sainte Marie – She Used to Wanna Be A Ballerina
Peter Lang – The Thing In The Nursery Room Window
The Blasters – Live at The Venue
John Mayall – Notice to Appear
Dixie Dreggs – Night Of The Living Dreggs
    Karla Bonoff – Self Titled

Spent all weekend cranking these albums.

    Pokey LaFarge – Riverboat Soul
I discovered this guy last week. Has a great old timey sound. Was just picked up by Jack White’s label.
