The finale is upon us. I would say the Hotel Cafe has around the same capacity as McCabe’s. Different configuration. Located right smack in the middle of Hollywood near the intersection of Selma and Cahuenga, across the street from what was once Wally Heider’s Studio. Doors at 6:30 pm.

This “World Tour” of Los Angeles provided us with a real smorgasbord of song variety.
Many, many thanks for the fine reporting by all. i.e.:
tonyg, stoger, Grumpy Mama, bigsubi, Blessed, BillG, paul_from_losangeles and DDinNJ. plus Lafayette for faithfully up-dating SetList FM.lwj
March 4, 2014 at 5:19 pm #52742stogerParticipantUgly Truth, Copenhagen, AND Seeing Black: oh my. It was a pleasure to make one fifth of the shows on this great run, and thanks to all of my fellow reporters. Y’all come to Tennessee sometime soon, hear?
March 4, 2014 at 5:28 pm #52743paul_from_losangelesParticipantEntertaining show at the Hotel Cafe. The tables normally in front of the stage were moved to the sides, allowing standees closer access, but folks at the tables had diminished views. New songs at this show for this tour were Copenhagen, Ugly Truth, and West.
Good to see westwords, grumpymama, tonyg, and samishseamike at the show.
The Kenneth Brian Band returned with volume and drums, after two mellow shows at McCabes.
For the 10 dates of the tour, Lucinda performed 69 different songs.
Burning Bridges, Joy, and Something Wicked were the only songs performed for all 10 shows.

Good statistical compilations, Paul. And sixty-nine is a sexy aggregate figure.

March 4, 2014 at 10:40 pm #52746tonygKeymasterThe show was pretty awesome. People packed in like sardines. Good music and good clean fun closed out this great idea of a tour. I met Neil Young’s oldest son, who was pleasant and courteous. After the show various people repaired to the Velvet Margarita across the street for refreshments. Those in attendance saw me miss a step down from the bar to the lounge, 4 drinks in hand, and go sailing through the air like Underdog and crash land, unable to break my fall with my hands, on the floor with an enormous thud. Glass, booze and ice emanated from me like a supernova. I cut my hand, my head, and severely bruised my knees. I have ice bags on them now. West Words, SeaSamishMike, and my friend Matt will be talking about this for some time. My friend Matt’s face went completely white. It was a fitting finale to a great 2 plus weeks.

WestWords? WestWords? I would have thought a flying projectile of her body might have cushioned your fall, Tony. But each person for hself in such a situation, I suppose.
March 5, 2014 at 4:49 pm #52749tonygKeymasterIt happened so quickly that no one could have helped. Except you. You would have saved me.
How do you like the fact that good show reporting is described as “Stogeresque”? 🙄
