From Tom:
And just like that we’re in Helsinki. Was looking at newspaper on the plane that had a list of the 10 most livable cities in the world and Helsinki was #10 and Hamburg was #9 so we’re hitting them all. One of the many running jokes when were on tour is how Lu falls in love with so many of the cities we’re in and in moments of peak effusiveness she will say “let’s move here”. But the point is that Helsinki is a beautiful place and there is a real welcoming vibe to the city. And that welcoming vibe definitely carried over to the show with a nice big sold out crowd. The original set length was only going to be an hour and then we got them 75 mins and the we got to add the encore which got us to almost 90 mins.Lu was having a good time and wanted to play longer. Next time back we will.
Go Finns! Two cities I have lived in, Wilmington DE and Jackson TN, have made a list of ten WORST places to reside in US, so I’ll keep Ham and Hel in mind for my dotage/retirement years.
