Sorry Lefty- Again you are “left” out. You wrote on July 31st below:
“When you see Erika, CB, wouldja tell ‘er please to bring it to Syracuse? She’s overdue!”
Now the HB’s fall tour is listed on their web site. The closest to up-state NY is Toronto on Nov. 11/09 again at the Kool Haus where I saw them on August 3rd. I’ve already got my tickets.
It’s not that far from Syracuse for you.lwj
September 17, 2009 at 7:23 pm #36697LeftyParticipantErika’s on the “on” ramp, merging onto Big-Time Highway, LWj. Little ol’ Syracuse is falling away in the rearview mirror 😥

Lefty check out this recent TV Guide interview with Erika wearing her hot pants.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm9-_ngm-KsBy the way, I had the pleasure of meeting 4 nice folks from Syracuse at the Abilene Bar across from the East Harrow Ballroom in Rochester in March/09 while attending Lu’s concert. They confirmed you were the one in the pink and blue shirt.
Best regards and keep on moderating one of the best Forums around.
lwjSeptember 20, 2009 at 5:22 pm #36699LafayetteParticipantI’m not so sure Erika will remember our conversation at the reception , however, I will plead your case, Lefty, for her to not forget your fair city in upcoming tours.
I asked her if she was going to do a WNKU On-Air to support her MPMF gig on Friday, and she thought it was scheduled for 1:00 p.m EST. I just checked the website and unfortunately they have been slipping on posting upcoming On Airs, nothing is mentioned. I wil try to confirm this week with the music host for that time slot. The station streams live if you have the opportunity to listen in real time. If not, they typically podcast their interviews.

Stevarino, Erika said it was an outdoor stage she was playing. The schedule has her in headlining spot for that “venue” playing 9:30 at Grammer’s Topic Design Tent. Hope to see you there!

Erika did tell us at the reception they were opening for Wolfmother. Enjoy, Lisa.

Yeah, Erika mentioned that at the reception. But, she also said they would be coming back to Atlanta later as a headliner, so I think I will save my ticket money for then & see a longer set… 😉
But, thanks for the heads up!

September 21, 2009 at 4:44 pm #36702LafayetteParticipantWNKU’s afternoon music host just confirmed that Erika will be doing an On Air at 1:00 p.m. this Friday. He said they would be tweeting as well 😆

I’ll be tuning in this Friday to Erika.
I looked at theWNKU web site and I have a strong urge to subscribe. Public radio and TV seems to be the only thing worthwhile to listen/watch now days with all the dumb reality shows airing.@Lafayette wrote:

September 21, 2009 at 11:48 pm #36704LafayetteParticipantYou’re welcome, Lisa!
WNKU offers such a variety of ALL types of roots music and is extremely supportive of local musicians. I absolutely love their programming as well as their website features (podcasts and dedicated YouTube page.) They are having their semi annual pledge drive in October. I typically volunteer to answer phones during pledge drives. If you decide to pledge, any $$$ amount is appreciated, and know they truly support Lu as well. Do a search using her name (as described below) and watch it populate…
I am excited that John Patrick will be doing the On Air interview on Friday (provided he is working that day.) He’s one of my favorites.
On the website, I’m not sure if you saw the music link, but if you click that link, then click “music playlists” you can search by artist, record, etc. or just click “search playlists” at the bottom to see the entire programming format for each music host.
September 25, 2009 at 3:00 pm #36687LafayetteParticipantA reminder to listen to WNKU in the 1:00 p.m EST hour as Erika is scheduled for an On Air to promote her Mid Point Music Festival appearance tonight.

(Anybody want a ham sandwich?)September 25, 2009 at 5:36 pm #36690LafayetteParticipantI like my ham sandwich with spicy mustard and muenster cheese on wheat bread.
WOW. I cannot believe Erika’s vocals compared to her speaking voice. Blows my mind.
How did you like all the Lucinda shout outs? * I heard you were at the wedding* double wink 😉 😉
Along with taking the interview out with “Are You Alright?” JP loves Lucinda too, can you tell?September 25, 2009 at 5:37 pm #36691LafayetteParticipantGuiness…she likes Guiness, Lefty.

Along with taking the interview out with “Are You Alright?” JP loves Lucinda too, can you tell?Great interview. So nice to hear Erika announcing a headlining tour for 2010.
Only 40 minutes opening for other bands just doesn’t “cut the mustard” for me.
Loved the acoustic of So Quiet.
Lafayette are you going to see her under the tent tonight?lwj
