From the songs I’ve heard so far from “Arrow”, Erika’s strong vocals just may surpass “The Mountain.

For me I’m looking forward to their show in Toronto on Feb. 20th at the long established Horseshoe Tavern.They are located in a 150 year old building.
Look at their artist’s remuneration policy from their website.By the way, usually, 100% of the door actually goes to the artists and musicians playing…So please support them….

I’m going to wait and purchase the new “Arrow” album at the venue and maybe get it autographed by Erika.The entire new album “Arrow” was previewed on KCRW today.

KellyI’m not making Nashville but shooting for Cincinnati next week on the 17th! They are also doing an in store here in Cincy which I definitely have plans on attending.

I notice the HB’s Facebook wall has been posting a lot of great pictures lately.Thanks for the info. I’ll have to make it by Grimey’s and get some vinyl signed. I was just reading about The Ryman being named the Theatre of the Year for the second yr. in a row. Neat article in the Tennessean. That’s where i first saw the HB’s open for Lucinda a few yrs. back.
A day less 20 hours short. Last night, I received an email in my inbox around 8:00 p.m. for an exclusive invite (20 listeners) to an In Studio at WNKU for the HB. Apparently, I missed out as, per the instructions, I would receive a return email with directions to the studio if my request made it into queue. No confirmation email as I write. Looks like Shake It Records will be calling my name, for sure.
To review – an In Studio at WNKU, an in store at Shake It Records, and a show at the Madison Theater all on February 17. Erika and company will be working for the money on a Friday in Cincinnati.
I would bet the WNKU appearance will be broadcast – catch it at http://www.wnku.org at 11:00 a.m. EST

Lafayette, I’m sure you can con or beg John Patrick to get you into the WNKU appearance.
Boy, if you get to see Erika and the HB’s THREE times in a single day, that would be a Marathon( as in the first cut on the new album)
Gotta love the new album. Have you noticed every cut on Arrow is 4 minutes or longer all the way up to “Down in the Canyon” at 7:31 (almost as long as Lu’s “Rarity”)I just got the HB’s new e-mail and their tour runs almost daily from now to May 31st.They have been getting great crowds including selling out (1,500 capacity) at First Avenue Minneapolis.
So, let’s watch one of my favorite songs from the “Mountain” “Sway” @ First Avenue from last Friday. Jesse gets the crowd started with his clapping.

I made it to the In Store for a few songs at Shake It Records in Cincy, although I was somewhat late and only heard the last two songs. Erika said at one point she lived only 3 blocks from the record store and someone in the band said he lived across the street at the Northside Tavern, where Erika tended bar. Everyone laughed. Sound was great all things considered and Erika’s voice was magnifico. Lefty, I picked up a CD for you and had Erika sign it thinking you might not get to see them this go round. DM me your address and I’ll send it your way. It’s signed to “Lefty.” 😀
