ParticipantWhere has everyone gone? Is the Forum no longer operational? No news, no updates.

ParticipantIt may as well be closed, Jack. But since on my second try right now–with a total of 3 1/2 minutes investment–I seem to be logged in, I’ll reply. Many was the time on the Car Wheels show tour this summer (I went to six or eight) I wished to post at least songs 14–?? with commentary, but this Forum has become so technically non-viable that I despaired of it. Our UK friends did us right this summer, including breaking the news of the Ray Kennedy studio current project, but I couldn’t sign in to acknowledge same. I think little or none of this is due to trooper Tony, our moderator.
Anyone go to the Colorado festival today? With patience, you might be able to sign in and post.

ParticipantThanks for your update. Guess I won’t have to check this as much anymore.
On a different subject, let me know if you need a 2lp orange vinyl of Essence. I accidentally bought two copies!

KeymasterThanks for the report Stoger! Jack, we lost almost everyone when the forum was moved to a new platform. But it can be as active as we want it to be.

ParticipantI just joined and hopefully haven’t jumped into a casket…………….

ParticipantI’d say that metaphor is a big strong, though the hearse has been rumbling graveward ever since the “new format.” It only took me two tries to sign in today, for instance. But glad you are in–and the tour dates feature has been especially good. I’m appreciative of the Sweden dates, which hopefully herald a parade of European shows come summer. Welcome.

KeymasterIf you have jumped in a casket, you are not alone! Keeping with the metaphor, that is.

ParticipantWell glad to be in. Been into music since my first live show 1972. Only recently focused on Lucinda. Just bought all of the CD’s I could get. beautiful stuff. A number of songs Took me back to place I hadn’t been for many years-1975 +/- and some really hopeful good times that didn’t last long and ended abruptly. Enough before I bore everyone
Well I am hoping to catch my first show of hers. I am in south central PA. We shall see what the tour dates and venues are.

ParticipantThank you.
At the risk of coming across the wrong way it really depends on the day. For example he redo of Sweet Old World might hit me one day and the next day eh. If I were forced to pick one then I would pick West followed by Ghosts and Cars.
I have a very wide range of what I enjoy otherwise. This was an interesting awakening to me spiritually/emotionally(discovering her music-bought every CD) and listened from the beginning to now-quite a few songs took me back to 1974-75 and I remembered a wonderful but brief moment in my life that I had not thought about for at least 2 decades and it was …. well sweet sad and wistful-in the end comforting….
Sorry to ramble. I drafted a letter to Ms. Williams to tell her what her music has meant to me and provide some context but did not send. But it made me feel great to do so!

ParticipantMerry Christmas and A Happy New year to Lucinda and all her fans worldwide.
I check the site every day, but it has just proved so difficult to get logged in most of the time, and now I have got logged in today I am not allowed to start new topics, so hasd to add this to an existing one, would certainly post more if it was more straightforward to do so. -
