To answer the previous question, I’ll narrate some details of the Seattle show. The band had the same personnel as from April and early May: Doug Pettibone (guitars), David Sutton (bass), and Butch Norton (drums). For this show only, they were joined by Bill Frisell, the noted jazz guitarist, who worked on “West”, and now lives in Seattle. Bill played all the songs on a Fender jazz guitar, improvising notes to complement the sounds of Doug, David, and Butch. The venue was a beautiful indoor concert hall, with dramatic ceiling lighting, offering images of starlight and constellations. The setlist:
1. Rescue
2. Ventura
3. Are You Alright?
4. Fancy Funeral
5. Fruits of My Labor
6. Blue
7. Where Is My Love?
8. Too Kool To Be Forgotten
9. Unsuffer Me
10. Essence
11. Come On
12. Honeybee
13. Joy
14. Everything Has Changed
15. West
16. Marching the Hate Machines into the Sun
