    Twitter! Looks like Lu will be playing Charlottesville, VA on Sept 26. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 26. All the details are in following link.

    Man, you two are good. The Old Dominion by late September on a weekend sounds eminently doable. And Buick 6 retains its gig, it would seem. I’ll cross check via High Road, but as for Twitter, it’s all yours, Lafayette.

    So, since we are starting to see some new US fall shows emerge, are there any updates to the special Chicago shows that are trying to be planned?

    Nothing official, but I do believe they are still in the works for late this year…

    Interesting is the idea of the ongoing Buick 6 “double-bill.” Even in this LWs “fan” site there appears a certain amount of agreement that other options could/should be explored especially in light of the fact that B6 is on its second guitar player. Old Crow Medicine Show is doing something very interesting with its Big Surprise Tour… Hmmm… The Big Surprise Tour: Old Crow Medicine Show along with Dave Rawlings Machine (f/t Gillian Welch), The Felice Brothers and Justin Townes Earle, just announced The Big Surprise Tour, a traveling show of epic collaboration and good times that kicks off in Hampton Beach, NH on August 4. Born out of a deep running comradery built on countless tours and ties between a host of excellent musicians, each evening is sure to be a unique experience as they all put their many combined years of musicianship and knowledge of song-craft and American music into play for these performances.

    I saw Lucinda there in 2007, Tom. The Carolina Theatre is a beautiful venue.

    I’m hoping the Chicago shows work out.

    That Oct 1 date in Red Bank is killing me. My good friend lives in Red Bank, however, a forthcoming concert announcement on July 16 shoots that date down for me.

    I definitely need another Lu show this fall.

    I checked the Count Basie Theater’s Web site, lkaufman, & they are not listing the show yet, so I have no idea when tickets will go on sale (or if there will be a presale). Your best bet to check there periodically to see when they list the show – when they do, they should have ticket sale info. Here is a link to their Web site.

    High Road Touring has slipped in a new date in Stateline, NV at the Harrah’s Tahoe Casino at the beginning of this string of shows. Here is a complete list of this “Fall mini-tour” as it stands now:
