I haven’t heard if there’s going to be a presale or not; what I have heard is that tickets go on sale to the general public on Sept. 9th…

I was able to get to venue home page via the link lafayette posted earlier in this stream, but no visible presale was evident. I didn’t spend much time with it. All GA, all standing, correct?
September 8, 2011 at 12:42 am #47972toporunnerParticipantthere are supposedly VIP suites or similar but i think General admission and standing only is the venue. old guy that i am ,i’ll still probably be there….seeing Lu standing and hurting is better than not seeing Lu at all.
September 8, 2011 at 3:50 pm #47973SlidellParticipantTom, (or anybody else) have any idea when the tickets for the Charleston show will go on sale? I would really like to go to this show, or else I’m considering the Black Mountain, NC show. Would really prefer to go to SC. Thanks!

Track 29’s site says some shows are seated such as:
M. Ward’s on Sept. 24th

Now there is a pre-sale today only. password Blessed.lwj

September 18, 2011 at 2:36 pm #47980stogerParticipantOh my God: home game (80 miles from my house), but I plan to be in Nashville for Americana Music showcases, then on to Asheville. Missed Beale St. fest, will miss this. I like away games, clearly.

The only LA area show will be the Henley opening slot, which will of course be a shorter opener set. The tour will finish this year in SF 11/19 & 20.

Lucinda Williams’ enthralling 45-minute set was probably puzzling to the uninitiated in attendance. Performing with her trio, the unassuming alt-country singer/guitarist began with a batch of sparse numbers, often colored by Blake Mills’ tasteful slide guitar and reverb effects: first came the title track from her winsome latest effort, Blessed, then “World Without Tears,” “Copenhagen” and “Born to Be Loved.”
Once she and her group picked up steam, the crowd really got into the material, particularly a raucous “Buttercup” from the new album (Elvis Costello and Matthew Sweet guest on the studio version); “Real Live Bleeding Fingers and Broken Guitar Strings”; the jagged, Neil Young-esque “Essence”; a sinewy “Change the Locks,” where Williams’ quavering Southern drawl vocals stood out; and the sexually-charged stomper “Honeybee,” with a smoking Mills solo.

Aside from the tired comments about Lu’s lyric book this article focuses on Blake Mills talents.http://lefsetz.com/wordpress/
