I am thrilled that I can now officially pre-announce that Lucinda will be in Europe beginning July 2nd at the Roskilde Festival near Copenhagen and finishing August 2nd at the Cambridge Folk Festival. A few dates are still being firmed up but this tour will include Spain for the first time ever with 4 shows there. Also included will be London, Berlin, Hamburg and a return to Paris for her 2nd show ever there. Other festivals on this run will include Bospop, the Americana Festival and something called…drumroll please….The Blue Balls Festival in Luzerne. The full schedule will be announced soon.

WOW! A concert at the Blue Balls Festival in Lucerne. That’s just awesome!
Its a wonderful festival set in different venues along lake Lucerne. Some concerts are open-air, the main concerts take place in one of the two spectacular concert halls in the congress centre designed by Jean Nouvel.I ain’t takin’ TOverby’s bait on that “drum roll please”/”blue balls” juxtaposition, considering the context of how I used the former phrase in one of my recent postings. Suffice to say, let’s see what I can do after my commitment in the States on July 10-11 to get over for some of the tour.
That’s a great new for the spanish fans too!!! Expecting to know the dates!!! Lu, I wan’t to give you a big hug like in Paradiso Amsterdam 2006!!!
This is great – i love seeing all the excitement & anticipation. I’m happy for you folks in Europe who will get their long-awaited chance to see what we often take for granted here in the States…

Thank you very much for the early alert, always appreciated, locations mentioned so far are not the best for me, and have already committed a large chunk of an ever decreasing budget to the Springsteen shows in June and July, sadly no mention of Scotland this time, will have to study the whole schedule when it is available and see what time and money will allow around that.

Does anyone know the dates for the UK. I’m going away on July 30th so will miss the only two confirmed dates – Manchester, July 30th and Cambridge Aug 2nd. I have to see her live!
