New show announced for Wednesday evening, May 15, at the Brighton Festival, on the South Coast of England:

Members’ priority booking opens: Thu 28 Feb, 7.30am
General booking opens: Fri 8 Mar, 9amAs paul_from_losangeles has pointed out several concert listings for Europe 2013, does this mean we will get on the scene reporting as we did from Europe 2009 ?
stoger, are you also going across the pond like in 2009 ?
I have counted 31 concerts from May 12th thru June 29 for this year as compared to only 20 in 2009.
The Brighton Dome ( capacity 1,900 ) may well be the oldest concert hall Lucinda has ever appeared in (constructed in 1805)
I have visited Brighton many years ago, a nice seaside resort town. The Dome and the Royal Pavilion are all inter-connected by tunnels.
lwjMarch 2, 2013 at 5:38 pm #51074stogerParticipantWas just looking at the list today, lwj. . .
Can’t make it in May or real early June, but those UK dates are calling my name. Of course, I haven’t ruled out the great land of Espana either, Castillan or Catalan regions. I hope to carve out a fortnight or so in there somewhere, and make my 50,000 miles with US Airways get me over, before the merger with American potentially screws that up. Wouldn’t mind a Benelux or Swiss visit either. . .
March 6, 2013 at 6:49 pm #51075silkbandanasParticipantIs anyone’s Swedish good enough to tell me if the May 25th show in Uppsala is seated or standing. Fits in nicely the day after Emmylou plays “down the road” in Stockholm.
Ian – Glasgow – Scotland
March 8, 2013 at 1:28 pm #51076Marc_BolanParticipantYep, it’s standing and they have a bar, too. I’m going there and i’m also going to the Stockholm gig. Great great news! Too bad i missed out on the early front row seats at Stockholm, but at Uppsala i’ll be down front 😀
See you there!March 31, 2013 at 2:49 pm #51077DesolationRowParticipant@LWjetta wrote:

lwjThe Dome is a lovely venue seen plenty of artists there Steve Earle, Richard Hawley, Gillian Welch there is a smaller venue called the Corn Exchange which is smaller seen two bands there Calexico and Iron and Wine.
April 1, 2013 at 11:04 am #51078LWjettaParticipantJust added another gig making it 32 performances for Lu on this extensive tour.
The Glastonbury Festival on June 30th in the acoustic tent.
My research is that Lu’s one and only one appearance at this huge festival was way back in 1989.

May 8, 2013 at 3:10 pm #51080tonygKeymasterWake up everyone. Euro shows commence on Sunday. Let’s start hearing from our FF members across the pond about their show plans. Who is going to the Dublin show? Belfast? Brighton? 😀

I’m not shy from this side of the pond to start the reports tonyg.
1. Everyone in the Facebook world knows by now that Lu has arrived safely in Dublin, NI sporting a WFUV sweater.
2. For the Belfast show the next night here is Lu’s pick for opening her gig at the Limelight.
It’s the band called “Malojian” -Steve Scullion.
Here’s his website-sounds pretty good.http://malojian.com/

the Facebook world? The facebook world? Needless to say, I was oblivious to this green-clad arrival. Keep the data coming via Forum. . . .
May 9, 2013 at 6:21 pm #51084LeftyParticipantI’ll second that ❗

Keep the data coming via Forum. . . .Ok stoger and you too Lefty as non facebook lurkers, I do not sign onto, repeat do not sign onto facebook but do look regularly at Lucinda’s and others and get all kinds of info.
1. The pic posted in Dublin was Lu in front of the Leprechaun Museum with Matt (assist. road mgr.) and a bycycle in the background. The color green was not seen anywhere. Our new moderator posted “Is that your bike? in reference to the above picture. I know it’s tonyg cause his pic. is shown and strongly resembles the FF photo of the year with him, Lu and Grumpy Mama at the music shop.
2. More facebook news-Lu meets Mary Gauthier for the first time at the Button Factory in Dublin. (another great pic.)
3. More facebook news-Lu is asking her fans for setlist suggestions for Dublin. Therefore, I have two suggestions for this extended Euro tour.
1.Nominate tonyg as moderator to bring facebook news via Forum as per stoger’s request.
2. Nominate Lafayette to continue posting setlists to Setlist.FM as she has so capably done in the past. She will get some help from stoger and the Doctor from Scotland but there are 32 shows to report on.lwj
p.s. I double dare stoger and lefty to look at the facebook picturesMay 10, 2013 at 8:20 pm #51086LeftyParticipantI took the FB challenge and looked at the photos, LWj. Good stuff. You’re next, Perfesser!

Thanks Lefty for accepting. Good stuff is right.
Now guess how many air miles Lu, TomO, Doug, Matt and others are going to accumulate.
From Southern Ireland to Glastonbury England from 05/12 thru to 06/30[attachment=0:18yral5f]Europe map.jpg[/attachment:18yral5f]
