    For all the Doug Pettibone fans here – some may already know this, but I didn’t realize that Doug played guitar & pedal steel on Tift Merritt’s 2008 CD, Another Country. I spotted his name today in the review of the album at allmusic.com (that’s where the link takes you).

    I haven’t heard the whole CD, but I have heard a track from it – “Broken”. I like this song a lot…

    I noticed that Doug was absent from Ray Lamontagne’s TV appearance on David Letterman, which aired several minutes ago on the West Coast (tape delayed). Maybe Doug will appear for Tift’s show Thursday evening at the Largo.
