No -he is not back and is not coming back. I do not know why he has those tour dates on his website.
OK, Tom – thanks for clearing that up for us. Strange those dates (even past shows like the U.S. tour prior to the current Australia tour) are listed there – my guess is that the Web site was set up to pull directly from High Road Touring’s database automatically and it hasn’t been changed since he stopped playing with Lu.

Yeah, I too noticed the Lucinda’s 2009 summer tour shows on Doug’s website. It also appeared as though Doug wasn’t with Ray LaMontagne in Ray’s recent Florida show. Ray is supposedly cancelling his summer dates for “health reasons.” So does anyone know where that leaves Doug?
Doug was at the Stagecoach festival near Palm Springs a couple weekends ago, playing with Jim Lauderdale. No idea if that is going to be a regular thing.
Doug was only with Ray LaMontagne fo the European tour and a couple of tv shows in the USA. He’s now back in L.A. doing sessions and playing with other people. Life moves on 😀
So who’s in the band these days? I’ve very much appreciated Doug’s skill and taste; I’ll miss his contribution to Lu’s sound. But players move on, so I’m sure the new band will continue to be a great compliment to Lu’s songs.

I really appreciate the update with the link. I’ll be catching them in KC at Harrah’s. The second time I saw Lu was at Harrah’s in Feb. 06, I believe. It was just Lu and Doug; tremendous show. I’ll be looking forward to hearing Greg, but there’s no doubt a lot of what I’ve enjoyed about Lu’s music the last several years has been the interplay between her lyrics and delivery and Doug’s playing.
