I don’t know how many degrees of separation this might involve, but doesn’t Lucinda performing an early Gram Parsons co-write at an Emmylou Harris tribute about a half century after the song was penned merit a big deal?
Let’s hear the details. . . .
January 12, 2015 at 12:14 am #53952tonygKeymasterWord has it the show was filmed for a DVD.
January 12, 2015 at 6:04 am #53953LafayetteParticipantHey tony g, I keep getting this error message while trying to copy and paste a tweet. Very strange.

January 12, 2015 at 6:07 am #53954LafayetteParticipantI was trying to post Mavis Staples tweet she had fun with her gurlz last night, and she wasn’t referencing her chest. 😯 She had mentions including EmmyLou, Lu, Patty Griffin, Sheryl Crow, Sara Watkins, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
That lineup right there is mind blowing.

January 12, 2015 at 7:24 pm #53957stogerParticipantI’m not sure if that anatomy quote is from Staples or lafayette, but right on.
I’m sure “Hickory Wind” was “wondrous”–regardless of whether the lyrics were memorized, were read from The Book, or were available by electronic monitor. Let’s hope LU came back out on “Boulder to Birmingham.”
January 12, 2015 at 7:30 pm #53958LafayetteParticipantOh, that was a Lafayette reference. 😀
Very strange. I tried, once again, to copy and paste Mavis’s original tweet. This forum is having none of it. I keep getting error messages..
January 12, 2015 at 7:46 pm #53959tonygKeymasterLafayette you can send a PM or email to the Webmasta with your error information. Click on “the team” below.

Yes, Tony is your guy for worsening almost any situation. Damn, I wish I had gone to the EH tribute, a la the Parsons tributes in California summer of ’03 (04?). And I should have known that any boobs references would be lafayette’s and lafayette’s alone.

January 13, 2015 at 7:14 pm #53962stogerParticipantThanks, Tony; it appears the likes of Patti G and Shawn C were not quite as relegated to the background as that Post writer implied.
January 26, 2015 at 6:24 am #53963LafayetteParticipantLucinda looked absolutely stunning!
