This is the poster formerly known as backstreets (couldn’t get logged in as that, so now assuming the identity of another Springsteen song – imagine that!).

    Anyway, ran across the following:

Charles Lloyd and the Marvels w/Bill Frisell featuring LUcinda Williams
Shows at 7 and 10 p.m. each night.

A Mike by any other name. . . Might I see you there? I’m already set for Lloyd & Williams at N.O. Jazz Fest in April. Yippee.

And weren’t you yet a different handle prior to “backstreets?” “Nebraska” maybe?

    Roger, I was originally racininthestreet.

Mrs. driveallnight (apparently she’s had a name change as well????) and I need to try to figure out plans this weekend. Can’t afford all four shows, but would like to hit a couple if possible – looking more towards the 10 p.m. shows. Not sure how much the set lists will vary, though does it really matter!

Sorry Backstreets. I looked for you in the database but could not find you. In fact, I searched for stoger and couldn’t find him either. Even though he is 2 posts above. I shall make inquiries.

NP tonyg. Hope to meet you someday!

And jeez Roger, it must already be the weekend (wishful thinking) as Mrs. driveallnight and I got tickets for the two 10 o’clock shows. I’m sure we’ll hook up some time that weekend.

I’m ticketed for night one at 10, landing circa 7:30. WE’ll see about Saturday.

I’m not a fan of the new forum format.

Mr. Stoger passes along his remarks regarding these shows. Thank you, Mr. Stoger.

The eight songs she played over two nights (four sets) were Ventura, Masters of War, Unsuffer Me, Angel, A Place in My Heart, Nobody’s Fault but Mine (Blind Willie Johnson), Dust, and We Have Come Too Far. As I understand it, in late spring/early summer from Blue Note Records, a record will be released of five of those eight, plus five or so of Charles Lloyd’s. Don Was produced.

A June tour with Dwight Yoakam and Steve Earle is brewing, to be reprised in August. July will be essentially off.

She called The Marvels “the best band in the world” and thanked them for including her “beyond being a folk singer, or an Americana artist.”

I apparently got Prince’s former table second night, according to Tom’s best man, who shared it with me. Seems Prince would sneak in some nights and go to said table with his bodyguard, upstairs near center.

Mr. Keymaster / Moderator – Thanks for posting Mr. Stoger’s remarks.

…and The Professor called it on the June / August tour with Dwight Yoakam & Steve Earle.

    I’m obssessing over this announcement.

What shows will I be able to squeeze in?

The husband retired a few months ago, he has me on a tight budget. [insert a ‘whatever’ face emoji]. The cool thing is, since he has much free time now, for the first time ever…he’s interested in coming to the Cincinnati show with me!

    So, so excited.
