I keep checking YouTube, but so far no uploads from the Macon show. What I wouldn’t give to relive a few choice moments! “Not My Cross to Bear” comes to mind, but really this was one of the best Lucinda shows I’ve ever seen, so to hit “replay” on any of it would be a treat.

I’ll also be keeping an eye out for more shows at the Cox Capitol. It’s an incredible and intimate venue, a welcome addition to central Georgia. Thanks for playing here, Lucinda!

Here’s the Rev. Brown’s song for you su_gar.

Thanks, LWJ; for those of us lucky enough to be there, the “local color” segue into this song with its tale of hearing this singer in downtown Macon–along with talk of going to first and second grade in Macon–was one of the most fantastic Lucinda live moments ever, one for the ages.

Thank you for posting this video link, LWJ. Having grown up near Macon, it was magical to hear Lucinda share her recollections of her time in these parts. I’ll always treasure this particular show for that reason alone, but she was on fire that night anyway. As Stoger said, “one for the ages.” Indeed!

She lives in Georgetown, KY so I’m guessing she is a professor at the University of Kentucky. Great blog — and she linked to it on her twitter feed.

She recently moved to Statesboro, Georgia and is a professor there. And a poet. And thank you! 🙂
