I’m so thankful to Lu for coming to the Ram’s Head in Baltimore on 8/30 (It’s my birthday and I’ve literally waited years for a good show on my birthday.) that I want to share something that I just learned. You see, I live in a small town next to Baltimore. If you go west from Carcetti’s residence ( 😀 ) and stop when you see the first cow, that’s where I live. So, I used to pay piles of cash for parking at the Ram’s Head. Then I saw the Old 97’s there the other night. I found the secret to cheap parking. Here’s the skinny: take Pratt or Lombard towards the Ram’s Head. Turn on Market Place away from the Inner Harbor. Just before the 7-11 on your right, go down a tiny ramp. That’s “Harbor Park Parking”. Park there for the show. Go drink some awesome beer at the Leinenkugel’s beergarden and head to the Ram’s Head box office. Ask for a parking voucher. Pay AFTER the show but BEFORE you get to your vehicle. Parking should be only ten clams.
If anybody wants some fun ways to waste time here in Bawlmer, just ask here. I’d be glad to help.
Oh, if you get there early there might be posters for the 8/30 show. I would never condone stealing one but when I saw the Old 97’s, one fell into my pocket. Imagine that!
Old 97’s, Lu and Lucero next door on 10/20 at the Baltimore Soundstage. Alt-Country trifecta!
