Another very fun night. There was a little mixup on Joy. Before she went on stage everyone was discussing what songs to come and sing and first Joy came up, and then someone alertly said that Joy didn’t really have a harmony part. By then Lu already had her in ear monitors in and was heading toward the stage so she was the only one who didn’t get the memo. When Joy came up she said “ok, we’re going to bring out Jim Lauderdale and Rhett Miller”. Jim was still back in the dressing room and didn’t hear her say that but Rhett was standing at the side of the stage so he had no choice but to jump out there -at first not being sure what to do but then very alertly went and got Butch’s tambourine. Jim came out for Get Right which was really energized with everybody singing and playing. Buddy joined in on the encore Hard Time Killin’ Floor which was killer-no pun intended.
