I was listening to one of my favorite NPR stations KCRW from LA for quite a while yesterday to try and hear Buttercup but no luck.
So I just Googled Lucinda Williams new song Buttercup and after scrolling thru about 8 pages I found the All Access Music Group. A great source for the new music. You can listen to many, many new clips there.
Before I even heard Buttercup in its entirety, I was so impressed by the studio recording that I had to get it on this forum asap.
Special note to punchdrunklove-You had better get after Mr. Overby like you did last year to get Lu to South America. You would be a great promoter.

that’s very kind. a friend asked me one day (in 2009) “can you fill an elevator with her brazilian fans?” and right now i think you can fill a whole (albeit small) venue. we got the 2016 olympics, but bringing lucinda here seems quite a harder task.

YES (!!), WNKU acquired two more stations, effective Feb 1. Listener audience increases from 1 million to approximately 3 million AND formatting will not change! WOOT…they love spinning Lu. They’ll be spreading the Lu love all the way to West VA and north past Dayton. There was a time when I had to listen to the station on my car radio by driving around town. I couldn’t tune it at home until they put a substation in my hometown.

I didn’t mean a link to DOWNLOAD the song, I just meant a link where it’s streaming.
I definitely would be buying this song if I could find it somewhere, I don’t think it’s on Itunes yet is it?

I would assume if it’s an approved stream (by label/management) then of course. I would think either Tom should weigh in on this.
It’s not authorized, but I have no problem with a stream being linked to -I want people to hear it. We pay a radio person to get it played on radio stations so people can do just that. Actually I am sitting here thinking about why I didn’t do this earlier -having a “duh” moment right about now.
I’m not sure where this was sourced from and I am looking into seeing if we can change the audio to make sure it sounds as good as it can vs. a copied version.
