24. It’s A Long Way To The TopAnother strong show at a beautiful theatre. Great atmosphere and acoustics in the Flynn Theatre in downtown Burlington. A large & enthusiastic crowd helped make it a good night. Lucinda came out and played the whole show with reading glasses on; first time I’ve seen that. Was great to hear another bunch of songs that hadn’t been played the last two shows. The way the band played it seems like the chemistry is really forming. Eric is relaxed and looks like he’s having fun playing with the rest of the guys and Lucinda.Hopefully Bob made it up and will post too.
Susannah was very busy when I walked in. She saw me and told me, “don’t go anywhere, I have to talk to you!” This made my heart start to beat very fast. Alas, it was just about giving me a rebate for yesterday and another for today. She said she had made a mistake about it yesterday. I asked if she was going to Australia and she said it was too much for her and she couldn’t. She did say that she will be on the tour when they tour the States later on.
It’s all yours, Lefty. I’m hoping that all you people in Rochester get a three hour show tomorrow. You deserve it for the long wait on the cancelled show.March 14, 2009 at 11:27 am #39018LeftyParticipantAwesome, Tim. Thanks for your fine reportage. Another terrific looking set list. Eagerly anticipating this evening. Now, as long as the pipes don’t burst…
March 14, 2009 at 1:31 pm #39019ruglesParticipantwhat time is the music actually starting on this tour?
March 14, 2009 at 1:35 pm #39020stogerParticipantGlad to see that heart rate stablilized long enough for a coherent setlist and good report, Tim. We appreciate your narratives.
March 14, 2009 at 1:58 pm #39021photosbynanciParticipantI was lucky enough to be sitting front row center (thank you Jay!!) and brought my little point and shoot Canon to this show (I usually shoot w/a Nikon D80). I have posted the photos to my website: http://www.photosbynanci.com/Lucinda2009.html
Hope you like the shots!
