Nice show last night. You don’t see this very often from an artist with such a large catalog of material to choose from. They closed with 2 covers “Not My Cross To Bear” and then Buffalo Springfield’s “What It’s Worth” to honor the Occupy VT group that was camped across the street in City Hall Park,

One of the very best shows my family and I have seen at the Flynn Theater in Burlington in a very long time. Thank you! The Buick 6 were Phenomenal !!!! Happy travels through New England, and come back soon!

This is what happens when you don’t go to every show, Stoger.

Get thee behind me, tempters. I’ve done crazier junkets, but this one seems beyond even my means. Still. . .

…LWj & I will take care of the set list. You can just sit back & enjoy the music. Balmy temps above freezing with no snow forecast for Sunday! 🙂

Yes, come up to Buffalo stoger.

Buffalo is also very close to Lafayette’s 7 hour driving limit. 😆

You reference two of the Forum’s finest here, lwj–though my sense is that paul from la does VERY little in the way of spontaneous things. Those red-eye reservations are booked months in advance, I suspect. Good weather, eh? You boys are making a case.

    “Sunday…partly cloudy…high 56…low 46…chance of precip 10%” This is tank-top/flip-flop weather for most Buffalonians!

    So, stoger… 💡

    Here is the Burlington setlist.
At one point early on she apologised for her “stage presence” and the book -she had an interview a day or two before where she was asked, apparently not subtly, about the book. She also said something to the effect “that I have a lot of songs, I hope it’s okay–i’m not a performer, i’m a singer songwriter”. She ended up getting past all that and by the end of the show and during the encore the crowd was all standing in the front row.

That book shtuff and Lu feeling she needs to apologize for it makes me sooooo mad!! “The Book” means that Lu has composed an incredible library of great songs, and on any given night you just may be privileged to hear one of the rarer gems. Because of “The Book”, no two shows are ever the same. And that can’t be said for most of the more polished “performers” whose shows are pretty much cookie-cutter, including the banter between songs. If you see one show of a tour, you don’t need to see any others, you know what’s happening next. Give me honest and authentic and surprises any day – that’s what makes life interesting. 🙂

8 hours, lwj — that gets me to Atlanta — VIP — Lu seems to love Atlanta — EXCEPT for the Botanical Gardens. 😮

i show lucinda videos to friends and never got “is this the lyrics book? how disheartening” as a reaction. if it makes the artist comfortable, you don’t question it.

moreover, WW’s point is pretty valid: more variety in the setlists.
