Well nothing but crickets in here but I’m sure everyone is dying to know I made hotel reservations in Sunnyvale for me and Tim and tomorrow is the day to buy tickets to the concerts. I guess I will buy tickets to both days. 8)
September 13, 2012 at 8:20 pm #50473TOverbyParticipantFYI-We still don’t know which day Lucinda is playing.
September 13, 2012 at 9:12 pm #50474tonygKeymasterOkey doke. If I go to both shows I have a 100% chance of seeing her. 😀
September 13, 2012 at 11:26 pm #50475West WordsParticipantYou guys may wish to tag team in buying tickets, with one trying for Saturday, and the other simultaneously trying for Sunday. Those tickets go fast!! Good luck! 🙂
September 14, 2012 at 12:18 am #50476tonygKeymasterGood thinking West. I’ll have someone in the office to tag team with me at 10 am tomorrow. 🙂
September 14, 2012 at 5:28 pm #50477tonygKeymasterWell that was wild and wooly. Good thing I don’t have a heart condition. I outsmarted myself and decided to open a browser window for each day and order the tickets at the same time, more or less. Halfway through it told me to cut the shit you can’t do that so I had to close a window which turned out to be Saturday’s show. So at 10:07 I had 2 seats at the back of section 203 to the Sunday show. By the time I got back to the Saturday sale, it was all over but the lawn seats. So now I am entered in this auction on the site for seats in the front sections. Not sure how long the auction goes on for.
And you know the scalpers already have seats up on Ebay, don’tcha? 😯
P.S. An hour and 15 minutes later I went back and scored section 202 seats for Saturday! So I’m in. Wish me bad luck on this auction I can’t back out of. 🙄

It is quite possible – with the exception of a couple shows in SF in early Oct. around Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (not confirmed yet and probably 60/40 chance of happening) that this leg will be it for the US this year” : Tom
Gonna be in SF on the bluegrass festival weekend and am looking forward to checking out the festival I would have known nothing about without Tom’s post.. but damn I wish Lucinda was in town playing those couple shows….
Drove down for the Bridge School concert(s) two years ago when Lu was playing.
Wish I could make it again.. magical.September 19, 2012 at 2:54 pm #50479tonygKeymasterA note on Lu’s FB page indicates she is playing on Saturday. It doesn’t say she is not playing Sunday. Nevertheless, Saturday is the day.
September 19, 2012 at 7:37 pm #50480TOverbyParticipantRight now it is looking like most of the artists will be playing both days -but of course that could change as I haven’t been given any info either way. That’s just what i’m hearing thru the grapevine.
September 19, 2012 at 7:55 pm #50481tonygKeymasterAwesome. We will clap real loud.
September 20, 2012 at 5:53 pm #50482FinehParticipantI live in San Francisco and have attended many shows at the Shoreline including a number of Bridge Benefits. I don’t own a car and yes public transportation is a hassle. To get there it is possible to take the train that runs between San Jose and SF and then walk to the venue. It is probably a few miles. I am a fast walker and it can take me at least a half hour. That would not be so bad, except the last train leaves around 10pm so for at least one Bridge show I stayed just long enough to see Patti Smith and then ran, which sucked. More often I stay at a motel in Mountain View, walking to and from the show. But at least once, my mind a little addled, I got lost on my way back to the motel and was walking around for about 2 hours before I got there. This was in the days before easily available GPS and Google maps. A local taxi may be able to get you to your motel a bit faster. Mountain View is pretty safe, even late at night, although the quickest path from the motel I used to the venue goes along a creek that I avoid on the way back as it can get very dark. So yes, it can be done on the cheap. But if you are not a walker or a drinker, then driving from SJ or SF is best. And make sure you leave plenty of time as getting into and out of the parking lots can take awhile. Frankly its been awhile since I have been to the Shoreline precisely because of this hassle and I am not exactly sure of the name of the motel I used but I might be able to come up with it if interested.
September 20, 2012 at 6:21 pm #50483tonygKeymasterGood info Fineh! I think I am going to drive to the venue and endure the parking hassle. 😉
October 12, 2012 at 3:12 pm #50484tonygKeymasterThey released some more sections 101, 102, and 103 seats this morning and I got 2 under the roof for Sunday. I will give my upper section seats to my cousin and her girlfriend. 😉
