From Tom:
Breckenridge is 9600 feet above sea level. When they ask you if you want an oxygen tank on the bus you know you’re a ways up there—and I think it was the first time that we all noticed that it might be affecting us. Of course Lucinda said she didn’t need any oxygen but we were keeping a close eye on her. She said she noticed it on the first couple of songs but after that she said she was ok. We did have the oxygen tank ready to go for her if she wanted a little lift before the encore, but was “no, no I’m fine”.
After the show some people that came backstage asked Lu if she had any oxygen and when she said she didn’t they couldn’t believe it. They said that they’ve seen young bands come thru and have it really affect them.
What a beautiful place and appreciative audience. Unfortunately we had to get out of there quickly to beat the big snowstorm that heading directly our way.
Onward and downward.
