C’mon, TN Tracy, a man can’t be conscious night and day. Good show, restorative even, I’d say. Fairly sedate crowd, seated, but into it. Lu said midset she was making a conscious effort to pick songs from different albums: true enough, as 8 of her 9 studio albums (save Ramblin’) comprise the first 10 songs.
I spoke with Nick beforehand and caught him up on the sartorial aspect of some Forum comments, which surprised him. He said he bought a suit in Nashville once and then started wearing it, in honor of LU: much more casual during his REM days, it would seem.
Eric the tour manager gave this stream-of-consciousness-rhyming-couplet-laden intro of Buick 6 I can’t begin to capture here. Suffice to say “the instrumental stylings of. . .” looks like a pretty bland phrase from this side.
And now a nap.
