January 17, 2011 at 9:44 pm #45147bobParticipantWho’s going to this show?
BoB will be there….January 19, 2011 at 5:14 pm #45148TimParticipantTim will be there; and hopefully no more fisticuffs like at The Orpheum last time!
January 20, 2011 at 7:20 pm #45149stogerParticipantAs long as we’re referring to ourselves in the third person singular, “stoger” will be there. Tim, maybe we can find a nearby cantina to the HOB a la West Hollywood?
January 20, 2011 at 7:49 pm #45150TimParticipantGlad to hear that it’s been confirmed, Stoger! The Cask & Flagon is about two doors down from the HOB, right behind Fenway Park. Would be a good place to enjoy before the show.
January 20, 2011 at 8:01 pm #45151DavidinMaineParticipantHey Tim:
There’s a great place just a few blocks down on Newbury Street called The Other Side, which has one of the best offerings of fresh micros in Boston… The Cask is a fun place–you may want to try The Other Side if you want a super-fresh pint of some of America’s best!
January 21, 2011 at 2:44 pm #45152TimParticipantThanks for the tip DavidinMaine, it sounds good!
January 21, 2011 at 7:41 pm #45153DavidinMaineParticipantYou are more than welcome, Tim. Always good to see your posts. The last time I was at The Other Side this summer, I had a 14oz tulip of Avery’s hop-bomb (double American IPA) “Maharaja” that was nothing short of spectacular on-tap. Beer Advocate review here: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30/22352 It really is a terrific representation of beers in this genre. The Other Side is only about a half-mile from the HOB and well-worth the jaunt if one is searching for a pint of the good stuff. Portsmouth Brewing Company is the stop while in Portsmouth–just about 6-blocks from the Music Hall, which is one of my favorite rooms around. It was originally built as a music hall (great sound and vibe) and they have redone the entry/bar into a very cool space… Nice to see your posts and thanks, for doing so! David
