    Bob Dylan just kicked off the a 31 date tour in the US that started this weekend with a three night stand at the Paramount in Seattle, and it was excellent. The tour continues through Dec.2 where it ends with four nights at the Beacon. His five piece band were excellent and Bob sounded better than he has (to me) in years..

    Thanks for this, Mike. I’ve only seen The Man thrice (New Orleans with Lu; Nashville; Memphis), but perhaps this tour will mark a fourth. Our dentist friend in Oklahoma whose handle I’ve forgotten (coffee cup?) has surpassed this by light years, I suspect.

    Meanwhile, an Olson-less Jayhawks are making the rounds, and I highly recommend this line-up. Material from Sound of Lies, Smile, and Rainy Day Music (whose promotion involved an opening slot on the Lu bill back in the day) is the main concentration.

    Stoger,

    I’m seeing The Jayhawks tomorrow night (10/22) at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC! Can’t wait! I don’t know if I’ll know all the song titles to post a full report, but I’ll try… Now to figure out when I can catch Bob… Viv
