What a Marquee for another sold out show.

Just a big thanks to our West coast reporter Mike for covering all these sold out shows.
As much as I look forward to seeing the varied setlists your colour commentary ( i.e Lu for KBB) is great to add to the show.

Thanks so much, LW… It’s been a blast.
Love the pic from last night,I’ve only taken two pics at the recent shows.. This marquee and the one at the Aladdin.. (and it was only colour commentary for Victoria and Vancouver šŸ˜‰ ..)

    Setlist:
    Steal Your Love
Just Wanted To See You So Bad
    Right in Time
    Drunken Angel
    West Memphis
    Cold Day in Hell
    Compassion (Lu)
    Lake Charles (Lu and Stuart)
    Born to be Loved
    Copenhagen
    Are You Down
    Protection
    Out of Touch
    Changed the Locks
    Unsuffer Me
    Essence
    Joy
    HoneyBee

    Hot Blood
    Righteously
    Get Right with God

    Rockin’ in the Free World

    Of Note:
A reported (by venue) 3hr delay at the border had a lot of people nervous that the show would be late. No mention of it by Lu.. show went off on time after we all waited in lobby while they sound checked..
Lu took the stage at 9:15 and played until 11:25. She seemed in a great Valentines Day mood.. opening with “Happy Valentines Day!!” Great show… Commentary included dedicating Copenhagen to the people there as a result of the shootings there earlier in the day.. “when will it stop?”. The band..again..really were amazing. At Lu’s encouragement.. the house stood for the encore(s)!!

KBB opened and were joined by Lilly Mae for a couple songs…

    Side Note:
Burger at local pub afterwards.. watched as Stuart came in and sat at bar by himself totally unnoticed by many there who just came from giving him a standing O.. Normally don’t like to intrude… but had to shake his hand and thank him on his way out.. Amazing playing lately. David has also been really awesome of late.. throwing down the pick and really getting into it.

thanks, Mike; Stuart is the man. Red ink coming up, and I can’t think of a more unique, unpredictable trio of opening songs than what you list, even though “Steal” was not a tour debut. Ah, Copenhagen, long a sound or “ah” sound, doesn’t matter. Thanks.

    From T.O :
Well we made it on two fronts -couldnā€™y leave BC until 7am when the ferry opened and then had a delay at the border crossing -because we were apparently the first tour bus to ever cross there and they had no idea what to do. Very odd. We didnā€™t even get to Spokane until 6pm or so. We also made it in regards to the fact that, counting the radio show in Seattle this meant 7 days of shows in a row. Everyone is ready for a day off-but only after an 11 hour drive to Salt Lake -who schedule this tour anyway? Some rookie. After much debate over which ā€œValentineā€ song to start the show with, Lu made a show time call to go with Steal Your Love. Copenhagen was dedicated to the events of the day in Denmark with Lu simply saying ā€œwhen will it stop?ā€
Another sold show making 7 in a row. 4 tour song debuts brining that count to 53.

“Rookie” Frank Riley needs a slap on the wrist.

For the record, I was actually referring to myself.

Ambitious week of great music executed near perfectly logistically and otherwise, Tom.
    Bravo to all involved.

I must say though that even as a dedicated fan with time, a new vehicle to break in, and a desire to make all the NW shows… the Victoria show had to be cut early from the itinerary. Made five out of six of them though, and I was exhausted..and I just had to show up and relax! Hopefully they’ll be a second annual “World tour of the Northwest”…

    Yet another outstanding review:

Ha ha, probably I knew that, but let the tour proceed south X southwest. Wouldn’t mind getting out of an icy west TN soon, real soon.
