Whoo baby: she’ll love inclusion in this list, fresh off her Steve Cropper tribute album. I’ve heard another artist or two play it live, but let’s not forget writer Randy Weeks’ version on his record Madeline: mighty fine.
Yeah, I can’t wait ’til this CD is released. I just ordered their first one, Don’t Explain… 8)

Just got Seesaw today (a day before release day, thanks to fast shipping Amazon.com) – this cover of “Can’t Let Go” is a little bit more up-tempo & “rockier” than Lu’s version on Car Wheels…, but not as “rootsy”. I like it, though! And Beth’s vocals are wonderful!

Oh my. And their cover of “Nutbush City Limits” is smokin’. Beth’s vocals are fiery, and the horns! Just awesome!
And, on the other end of the musical spectrum, their cover of “Strange Fruit” (written by Lewis Allen & made famous by Billie Holiday) is simply haunting.
I highly recommend this CD!
