Paul from LA.. I have only been to one other show at the Roseland in Portland and did not have any issues with security nor have I heard of any.. Of course I’m in Seattle and not Portland, but would say the crowds there are a bit ore “raucous”… which isn’t necessarily a bad thing…
You have me thinking that perhaps I shoould be leaning towards getting reserved seats as opposed to GA floor tickets though…

Ventura fees aside, I encourage Friendly Forum members to…
Come out west and see
The best that it could be
I know you wonβt stay permanently
But come out west and seeIt’ll be a great opportunity to see some old friends & make some new ones!

And in memory of the late Kate Wolf, Lucinda sings “Here in California” to entice the Forum to come out west.
A gorgeous song. Have a listen.

p.s. A big welcome to the Friendly Forum “Sticky”July 7, 2010 at 11:23 am #43698lkaufmanParticipantDoes anyone know what time the Roseland presale begins today? I cannot find it posted anywhere. Also, do you know if this show is GA or reserved? I am from NYC but hoping to see Lucinda as part of a pacific northwest vacation.
Many thanks,
LeeJuly 7, 2010 at 5:21 pm #43699paul_from_losangelesParticipantIn response to lkaufman’s question and my curiosity, I executed the following dummy sequence. I chose not to purchase a ticket at this time.
The Roseland Presale started a few minutes ago, at 10 AM PDT, 1 PM EDT. You can start at the Roseland website, view the calendar, scroll to Lucinda’s event, select the presale, and you should arrive at Tickets West (you can also enter directly from Tickets West). In the promotion code box in the upper-right corner, enter KINK. (Ignore the red line, stating that ticket sales don’t begin until Friday, July 9.)
All tickets seem to be general admission, at $30 + $7 fee + 3.50 order charge = $40.50, either Mail or Will Call.
Note that the Tickets West site does provide seating charts for the Roseland Theater. The floor and balcony chart does show lettered sections of seats in the balcony, but all the tickets seem to be GA. I guess it’s first come, first served, for seating.

Thanks for the great info paul_from_losangeles. These fees are certainly more reasonable than those for the Ventura show. Still a little high IMHO, but not criminal…

West Words – I will be at the Ventura, Sac and Napa shows… that’ll give me a chance to wear both my Lucinda and my JP/Chrissie t-shirts. lol
The total cost of my Ventura ticket was $74.90. Not cheap and the fees do make me mad, but you know, Lucinda and Chrissie are both on my very short list of “cost is not an issue” artists. I’ve never been to a less than unbelievable show by either of these women. Hard for to say that about too many others.
We are in for a real treat with these shows!July 10, 2010 at 12:13 am #43705LWjettaParticipant@BobG wrote:

We are in for a real treat with these shows! And as I posted under other artists recently.
Here is a quote on what Anne McCue twittered 3 days ago on her web site.Chrissie Hynde AND Lucinda Williams! Are you kidding? I’d love to be the little opening act for that one….
Maybe TOverby can make it a threesome.

We are in for a real treat with these shows!Bob, perhaps you could sew the fronts of two t-shirts together?? π That certainly would make it easier for us to find you.
I completely agree with your “CINAI” concept, and marvel at the possibilities with the synergy of these two incredibly strong and outspoken artists on the same stage. This is definitely must-see TV. Anything could happen, and in all likelihood something magical probably will.

July 10, 2010 at 5:35 pm #43708tntracyParticipantI just got our San Diego tickets. I bought them the minute they went on sale (today at 1:00 PM EDT), and got 11th row, dead center (Row B11, Seats 109 & 110). I suppose the rows in front of us are the ones reserved for hotel guests?
Tickets were $50 each. Fees were as follows:
“Convenience” Charge: $11.50 x 2
Order Processing Fee: $5.65
TicketFast Delivery: $2.50Total for 2 tickets: $131.15
Any one know any on sale info for Napa and / or Long Beach?

July 10, 2010 at 5:47 pm #43709West WordsParticipantTravel planning:
Flights booked – check
Hotels booked – checkTickets –
Sacramento – next Saturday 7/16 @ 10am PDT
Napa –
Long Beach
Sandyeggo – checkFor San Diego, I got Section B3, Row 8, which I think is the front of the cheap seats. Probably got closer than you guys, Tom, because I was only buying a single. Then I tested to see what would happen if I went upscale, and the dinner ticket would have gotten Row 4, and the ultra premium hotel package would have been Row 3, so no biggie.
Woo-hoo!!!! π π π π π π
