Hey Lafayette the pony express arrived today. Really appreciate the autographed CD.
Love the songs especially “Bad Reputation”. Angela’s pronunciation of the word reputation has a real Southern twang to it.Funny, I had sent you a PM earlier today to let you know that the CD hadn’t yet arrived and to comment on a couple other FF topics.

Such a busy band that is certainly going places.Would love to travel to the Abilene Bar in Rochester but it’s a Friday night and recently I took on a part-time accounting job on Mon., Wed. and Fri., so I must miss this.
I went to the Abilene in March ’09 before a Lucinda show. Kool place on 2 levels with a huge beer selection. Stoger and Lefty also reported going there but at the time I hadn’t the pleasure of meeting them.lwj
I’ll get to see them sometime, in the meantime this will be one to watch eventually.

The tires hum as Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons cruise over to Boston, and Alt Root Studios across the back roads of Ohio, specifically Athens County. Angela is hitting our studio to film tunes from her most recent album, Hey Kid, for Extended Play. Hey Kid might just be the gold standard for roots rock’n’roll as Angela’s voice curls around the power of the playing. She teases in her delivery, waiting a beat, to drop bombs by the way of one-liners, winks and promises. Hey Kid is the first full length album from Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons following four EP’s since forming in 2009. The Howlin’ Moons explode out of the speakers with a barely contained ferocity tamed by Angela Perley’s smoother seduction.
The Alternate Root is pleased to host a special night of filming featuring Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Doors are at 6PM and you can be included by contacting us via e-mail through studioconcertseries@gmail.com.
Located just 25 minutes from downtown Boston and minutes off of I-95 and Rt. 1, Alternate Root TV Studios is a unique place to see top nationally touring artists in an intimate setting. With cabaret style seating for just 44 people, no seat is more than 25 feet from the stage. Food and beverages are complimentary and there is ample free parking just steps from the studio. Seating is reserved for guests on an invitation only, first come first served basis. It is an opportunity to see artists up-close and personal and interact with them. They are here filming our television series and you can be part of it.

Thanks for posting the videos. I missed Angela in Cincinnati, I was out of town. Chris is the real deal. You know he’s in the zone when the guitar neck is straight up in the air.

Stoger and I attended Angela’s Dec 19 show at a small bar near OSU in her hometown of Columbus, OH. Also in attendance were two of my Mellencamp buds, both local to the Ohio capitol.
Noah Wotherspoon opened the show, knocking out some fantastic blues licks on his guitar.

She had a great crowd for her holiday show and premiered a new song or two. Good stuff.
I’m looking forward to 2015 for Angela. She signed on with booking agent and has been in the studio recording a new record. The world is her oyster.
My girl, Angela, just announced today she won 1st place in the International Songwriting Competition representing the Americana category.
