    Also, I saw the newsletter mentioning the TV appearances and upcoming shows. I particularly loved the description … A very set of special shows with Lucinda Williams…in reference to this summer’s pairing where I’m almost certain to go into near cardiac arrest. I’m going to be wishing my summer away waiting on them.

    Amos receives presidential invite to play for the military families on the South Lawn on July 4. Can be viewed on website linked in article. The fun begins at 8:15 p.m. A side note, Train is also playing. They put on a great show. Their bass player is amazing…use to help an independent band from San Diego he played with and he moved on and is now playing in the big leagues.

    What an honor for Amos, Lafayette.
    I’ll be tuned in to the broadcast for sure.
    Boy, two of your top 5 artists appearing in Washington for the President.
    I recall JM’s performance at the inaugural for Pres. Obama plus the Civil Rights Movement concert.

    I know! Perhaps Lu will receive an invite one day. I fear one of my top five has fallen wayside. Stoll’s FB page (the one he updated) — disappeared. His website — gone. His twitter feed — nada. I fear he’s either thrown in the towel or not paid the bills.

    Standing by Lafayette for the podcast from the South Lawn.
    Not familiar with the music of Train.
    Wonder which song Amos will pick. Something from Mission Bell no doubt.
    Don’t think it’ll be “Clear Blue Eyes”.

    Only 4 songs in his set—so you didn’t miss anything. Not familiar with that last song—I’m guessing an original written for the occasion? It was beautiful indeed. The guy standing at the stage looked like he was overwhelmed with emotion during “Out of the Cold.”

    Bonus, Lafayette.
    Amos comes to Canada as per e-mail received today announcing the “Live From SOHO” album.
    Oct. 27/11 in Toronto at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.-Great venue-
    Tickets $40.00 US even lower in CDN$ eh!
    Saw Lu there ( and met her, Tom and the band ) for her 30th anniversary tour in Oct./09

    Since I missed him with Lu in Cleveland this is a great opportunity now to see him.
