Just wondering if any report is to come from the FF.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uIOSv6ePm8

February 24, 2014 at 3:55 am #41179tonygKeymasterIt was a great show and I enjoyed the music. I didn’t keep a set list so I didn’t file a report. I was in the third row. I went by myself, drove there by myself, sat by myself, and drove home by myself. So I have no anecdotes to report. 😮
February 24, 2014 at 7:24 am #41180LafayetteParticipantGlad you checked in. I had fellow Mellencamp friends at the Portland show and in Oakland.
I’m driving by myself, staying by myself, sitting by myself – hopefully in St. Louis in the front row. I say hopefully because I have had to forego two Amos shows in the past. I’ve probably already jinxed it by mentioning I was sitting in the front row.
So. excited.
Two days after St. Louis, I’ll be sitting in the front row – again, in Cincinnati. Hopefully.

Again your camera work on “Violin” in St. Louis is outstanding and Amos preamble to the song is hilarious.

A second YESSSSS!!! on the Huber Heights (Dayton) show. Dayton is about 50 minutes from my house. I pulled 12th row center for it. This venue is brand new, opening this coming May. I’m anxious to see it and did not know about it until this show was announced.
I also pulled a front row in the center section, but furthest right, for Nashville.
Also, to note, this is a co headlining bill, with Amos and David switching various shows on opening and closing. I saw a chart (but can’t remember where I saw it, i.e. facebook, twitter, etc) indicating as such. I remember Amos opens in Huber Heights and closes in Nashville.
May 27, 2015 at 3:04 pm #41185LWjettaParticipantWhen Amos Lee rolled into Red Rocks in August 2014 he had been on tour for almost a year in support of his fifth studio album Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song, but this concert in particular was something special. His first headlining date at the legendary venue, and backed by the Colorado Symphony with arrangements composed just for that evening. Lucky for us, the experience was captured. Live at Red Rocks will be available on June 16th and is a 14 track career spanning set.
“Live at Red Rocks” Hopefully I can buy this CD on June 20th at the show in Lewiston, NY
Looking forward to it.lwj
June 21, 2015 at 8:12 pm #41186LWjettaParticipantA great “Triple Header” show last night at Artpark in Lewiston, NY bordering on the Niagara River.
We were treated to the first 1/2 hr by a singer named Rachael with her guitar and keyboard, followed by 1 hr. and 10 minutes rocking with Amos and then an almost 2 hours with David Gray. (What a bargain of music for $60.00)
The venue is most unique with seating for 2,400 inside (it was a full house) plus the entire rear wall opens like a garage door to accommodate more fans sitting on the lawn.Unlike stoger who seems to commit to memory set lists, comments on everything LU plus many other artists, I did not bring a notepad for the song list.
Amos opened with Windows are Rolled Down. The 3rd song was Bottom of the Barrel with a funny intro by Amos stating that everyone in the 5 piece band went swimming in the Niagara River except for the drummer.
Sweet Pea, Over the Rainbow?, Jesus and Keep it Loose were some of my favorites.
Amos dedicated one of the songs from Mission Bell to 2 friends passed away earlier in the year.
There was 1 particular song that was Kool in that for about a minute Amos and Annie the bass player extended their arms high and no singing , just clapping their hands to the music much like a Flamenco dancer does.
Really enjoye Zach with his multi-instrument talents.
What else ? I met a nice couple in the food truck lineup who are really huge Amos fans. Their last show they attended was at Farm Aid in Saratoga. (I believe you were at that one Lafayette).
I also purchased Live at Red Rocks.
I really can’t comment on David Gray since I was not aware of his background, but boy he gave quite the performance.
Enjoy your shows next week Lafayette.lwj
June 22, 2015 at 5:00 am #41187LafayetteParticipantThanks so much for the report, lwj!
Amos has come full circle on his performances as of late. He engages with his audience and his band much more than he did several years ago,
I’m glad you enjoyed the show and hope it helped with you missing Erika and the band.

I read that it was a pretty rainy time for the event.lwj
July 27, 2015 at 5:54 am #41190LafayetteParticipantSorry for the very delayed response, I was actually writing one while I was in flight on a trip to visit my sister, a very lengthy response, and the wifi signal was lost, as well as my post. 😡
I did make this show. It was weather wild, for sure. The gates were suppose to open at 5:30 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. start with Rachel Yamagata opening. Apparently, Rachel never opened as the venue held the gates until 7:00 p.m. because of the weather.
David Gray had the opening slot on this particular night. I was still in traffic – 2 lane rural road. It was moving slooooow. I stopped at the merch table and the merch guy mentioned another storm was coming in at 9:00 p.m. I made my way to my seat, and two songs later, the skies opened up with a light show on top, and they pulled the plug on David immediately. He was not happy.
The venue asked everyone to leave the immediate area and go to our cars, but told us they would finish the show. They did a great job keeping everyone posted via social media. Amos was even updating his page.
Finally, around 10:20 p.m. Amos hit the stage, after David Gray performed a solo acoustic version of ‘Babylon.” That was nice. Amos was thankful many of us stayed, said he was going to play all night as there was no curfew. That pipe dream ended almost as fast as he said it, his stage manager brought a piece of paper informing him show would end at 11:30.
Amos brought out Rachel to play a song since her set was nixed.
I was greatful the David Gray front row and center fans never returned after the downpour. I moved over about 8 seats and was a very happy fan that night, weather be damned.
July 27, 2015 at 1:09 pm #41191tonygKeymasterWow. Weird night. Sounds like you were a trooper.
