Thanks in advance!April 1, 2009 at 2:37 pm #39319visionsParticipantYup, pls keep those setlist reports coming in!
(Got to imagine that AC/DC cover is going to stay in the set down there)
April 1, 2009 at 3:38 pm #39320stogerParticipantAdvance, advance? I think April Fool’s Day (and thus the first concert Down Under) had already come and gone by the time you wrote, Lefty–certainly has now. I join Visions and Lefty: anyone out there?

Plus, inquiring minds want to know if Lu substituted “It’s a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll” when singing it like one Aussie here recommended when the tour was announced… 😆

April 1, 2009 at 10:16 pm #39322aliParticipantYeah come on there must be some Victorians at work by now! I need to know what to look forward to on Saturday night in Canberra.
And guys I will post a quick review of the Canberra show (and set list if my trusty pen behaves) on Monday when I get back to Adelaide.
2 more sleeps to my first Lucinda show!!
April 2, 2009 at 1:23 am #39323LeftyParticipantI would also like to know if Chet performed any solos on the didgideroo.
Enjoy your show, ali.April 2, 2009 at 2:28 am #39324slideParticipantSaw Lucinda last night at the magnificent Hamer hall here in Melbourne.
While the evening was relaxing and warm Lucinda and the band were taking no prisoners and blistering hot.
Buick 6’s opening set was pretty intense. Not exactly my cup of tea but they definately showed what they were capable of. And did they ever show it during Lucinda’s set.She might have been making us feel good but she mentioned more than once that she should have been recording the set because a couple of tracks where the best ‘live’ versions she and the band had ever performed.
Only suggestion to better the night…maybe don’t finish with “Long Way To the Top” ‘cos I’m afraid they just didn’t better the original. (I’m not a big ACDC fan by the way.)
PS
sorry but no playlist.April 2, 2009 at 2:33 am #39325tntracyParticipantThanks for the show report, slide. Setlist, anyone?

April 2, 2009 at 3:30 am #39328DeanParticipantYeah, it was a great show. Lucinda was in fine voice and her band, Buick 6, are amazing. They can really play- Don’t miss their warm-up set. The sound at Hamer Hall was fantastic. Lucinda commented on it several times and did say the performance was worthy of a ‘live’ CD; She was really chuffed about how well they played. A good mix of old and new songs and a really enjoyable night. Buick 6, what a backing band.
That set list someone posted looks accurate from memory.
