September 30, 2014 at 4:58 pm #53538LafayetteParticipantI suppose we have no reports on this show last night?

The Rough Trade store has a large venue at the back so there is a full set up and plenty of room with a bar. She was joined by Stuart Mathis on guitar for most of the set, playing acoustic the plugging in for the last half of the show. Lucinda seemed really relaxed in front of the appreciative crowd. was a real intimate affair. She played a mix of the new album including Compassion, West Memphis, Something wicked this way comes, east side of town, Big mess and Cold day in hell as well as classics like Pineola, Change the Locks, Joy, Drunken Angel and encored with Honey Bee (can’t remember what else) .She made a few references to getting signed to Rough Trade when no one else would and sung a couple of songs from that album.
She hung around for 90 mins to sign the album and take photo’s and chat with fans along with Tom. Jesse Malin showed up to say hi…….all in all an amazing night, and got a great photo with Lu.October 1, 2014 at 4:04 am #53541LafayetteParticipantGreat report, shootspeed! The instagram photo certainly confirms it was quite the set up for an in store.

Not a shock that the author of “Lucinda” which he put on his Glitter in the Gutter album would make an appearance. Beats the Waterloo Austin in-store from last Jan. (with the fine Brad Rice) by about a half dozen tunes.
