Great pictures.

Speaking of Tom’s good ideas, if his next one was LW playing a solo show in Los Angeles, I could get behind that.

Here is a review of Monday’s show from a Northwest Arkansas Newspapers music blog. Note the author misheard “Port Arthur” as “Poor Arthur”… πŸ˜‰

Maybe he is a victim of spell check.

Good review though.

It seems there are plans to release TWO editions of “Blessed”. One, the “regular”, one-CD edition & two, a “deluxe” edition that will include a second CD of……………”The Kitchen Tapes”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i’ll add a few more exclamations:

Oh, I love the idea of the “kitchen tapes” offered as a deluxe set!

Please, please put “Port Arthur” on “Blessed” as an added bonus track. It’s amazing!

Here is “Port Arthur” formerly known as “Difficult Child” for those not around when I posted last November.

As a sidenote, TO told us Lu was writing this song backstage at the Janis Joplin Tribute event as part of the RR HOF series. As the story goes, Lu only finished this song 10 minutes before she stepped on the stage.

TO, if you decide to add “Port Arthur” as a bonus track, I hope you would consider to put in parentheses (A Tribute to Janis Joplin). It could be a flag, forJoplin fans and fans of music, to hear this amazing song.

Furthermore, as Tom related to West Words & me in Fayetteville, the song as performed in Clevelend was incomplete – one verse was left off. The way he described it, each verse was written on a separate slip of paper & Lu was still working out the arrangement prior to coming on stage!

I forgot about the song’s transformation after the Cleveland event, but yes, he told us about the verses being written on slips of paper. I love backstories, and this song has a great one.

I couldn’t decide if I should post the videos under the Shows category, or the New Album Update category. Decided to go with New Album in case folks were most interested in the new songs.

It was indeed an awesome couple of nights!

P.S. As promised by Tom, there indeed were cameras present – one stationary, and one “roving” around & on the stage. After the show, Tom mentioned that, if the audio was good enough, they hope to share the footage somehow with the fans. Later in the evening, I heard from one of the camera men that the audio during shooting was taken directly from the board, so I have high hopes the footage will “see the light of day”. I selfishly want to relive this night over & over as much as I want everyone possible to see it as well!

Just an assumption on my part, but TomO (Lucinda Mgmt.) posted a recent link on FB to videos below possibly re: the above recording for Night 2.

These videos in the link below were all from night 1 at Georges so my assumption is incorrect.
So therefore TomO’s recordings are yet to come for night 2. Looking forward to them.

Here is one video as recorded by Colonel Bruce Hampton.( He has a radio show from Fayetteville )
“Passionate Kisses”

Other videos on the Colonel’s site for Fayetteville are:
Greenville, Ramblin’, You Were Born to be Loved, Hard Time Killing Floor Blues and Jail House Tears.

Between WEST WORDS and the Colonel, lots of great videos to enjoy from George’s Majestic.
