ParticipantAtlanta and Chicago.
I live in Florida and would for sure go to Atlanta for this. But if she’s going to do the south she should do the midwest too. Chicago.

ParticipantThanks for the welcome, Lefty!
And yes ripley, Chicago would be perfect. LA, NY, Atlanta & Chicago. That would cover the major areas of the country perfectly!!

ParticipantDuring The Birmingham show last night, Lu offered a tantalizing hint that there may indeed be more of these 5 night stands. When talking about the LA shows, she responded to some shout-outs from the crowd of other cities (I admit, I was the one who said “Atlanta!” 😳 – I also heard “Birmingham!” 😀 ) with, “I know – one step at a time – the hardest part is finding a venue where we can play for 5 nights.” So, the possibility for more of these is definitely there… 😀

Yeah, that would be cool, too. More pricey for me personally (hotel & kennel stay for our dogs!), but more doable that LA or NY.
We took the “scenic route” back from Birmingham to Atlanta, via Little River Canyon in NE Alabama. While driving all day, we listened to all 5 CDs from the LA shows that I bought at the Birmingham show last night. They were fantastic! I am wanting the opportunity to attend similar shows even more now. The sound quality was very good, the band was the same as the show last night (w/ the addition of various guests) so they kicked major butt, and Lu was very engaging & talkative during all 5 shows, giving the “back story” on many of her songs.
One of my very favorite songs is “Bus To Baton Rogue” (it really brings back to me my childhood in the South, plus it is just a durn good song!). She did something special during this song on the “Essence” CD that just blew me away. I won’t spoil it for anyone who is still going to get the CDs, but it was amazing. When it came on in the car, we were just west of the AL / GA state line in some beautiful country which just made it all the more poignant…
