I was just going to post the same thing, paul. The 3-day pass isn’t much of a discount, though; it’s the same price as 3 tickets ($105), but presumably you’ll catch a bit of a break on the Ticketmaster fees compared to buying 3 tickets. I checked to see if it would be enough of a discount for me to pull the trigger on attending the third show, but no, I’m sticking to the first two nights.

I just noticed at TicketBastard that, for the Chicago shows, under “Please Note…” that they are identifying these shows as “A FULL HOUSE AND A ROCK N ROLL BAND 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR”, quoting Passionate Kisses. Since I doubt that they would be assigning a name to the tour themselves, I assume this is the “official” tour name. It’s very cool & I, for one, like it!
Tom
Yes, TN Tracy, I remember now that T Overby mentioned that phrase to a few fans after one of the shows awhile back, kind of soliciting feedback for a 30th anniversary theme. I forgot about it, but the one he stuck with is indeed “cool,” yes.
August 16, 2009 at 6:58 pm #40356spencecbParticipantJust bought some tickets for the Chicago shows. I’m going to the second and third night, couldn’t do all three nights this time around (damn recession). It’s such a shame how much Ticketmaster tacks on the the price of a ticket. One night turns into $50 😡
Very excited, nonetheless. I’m sure Lu will make it a fantastic couple of nights! Can’t wait!
August 25, 2009 at 8:52 pm #40357ripleyParticipantcan someone confirm the sets for Toronto? The Pollstar article info conflicts the initial post. I just want to make sure. I was planning on Skipping the Essence/WWT/West/LH show as I only care for WWT of those 4. But the Pollstar info puts SOW and CW with West and LH on the second date.
Can I get some confirmation?

The Queen Elzabeth Theater is showing for the first night, Oct. 10th exactly the same listing as T Overby did in this thread earlier
See
http://www.queenelizabeththeatre.ca/event16.htmlPerhaps T Overby can clarify the conflict with Pollstar.
As I mentioned previously, I got 2nd row seats for Oct. 10thRegards
lwjAugust 25, 2009 at 10:40 pm #40359TOverbyParticipantPollstar is wrong -the shows in Toronto will be exactly as I have them at the beginning of this thread. Sorry for the confusion.
August 25, 2009 at 11:14 pm #40360ripleyParticipantThanks.
August 26, 2009 at 12:22 am #40361LeftyParticipantDon’t be a stranger, Ripley. I, for one, welcome your posts. Be well.
August 26, 2009 at 11:22 am #40362TimParticipantGlad to hear you say that, Lefty! We need the objectivity here.
August 26, 2009 at 4:20 pm #40363derelicksParticipantReally looking forward to it. I am having some trouble in my life but hope to see Lucinda and the Buick Six (and her hubby) soon. All the Best. Tim Considine…www.thederelicks.com…
August 26, 2009 at 7:19 pm #40364TOverbyParticipantInteresting comment Tim. But obviously your and certain other people’s definition of objectivity differs greatly from mine.
From a dictionary:
–adjective
not influenced by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice; based on facts; unbiased: an objective opinion.Based on the true definition I would definitely agree with you.
August 28, 2009 at 5:00 pm #40365tntracyParticipantOut of curiosity, I have been periodically checking the LiveAbomination & TicketBastard sales sites for the NYC & Toronto 30th anniversary shows to see how sales are doing. With the NYC shows, it is hard to tell since they are all GA – all I can determine is that, as of today, they are not sold out.
The Toronto shows with their reserved seating are a better indication. As of this morning, for the first night, I was unable to find 2 seats together for the center sections in the orchestra or balcony levels. Then, selecting “best available” for two seats together, the best I was offered on the orchestra level was stage left, row U (the last row is row Y), and on the balcony level was stage left, row DD (the last row is row LL).
So, it looks like sales for the Toronto shows (at least the first night) have been good – the floor is close to sold out, and the balcony is at least 33% or so sold. (Of course, this is all assuming that I am really being offered the best seats available, which is debatable). Given the much larger NYC market, I would speculate that they are selling well, too…

August 29, 2009 at 1:04 pm #40366DavidinMaineParticipantUnfortunately, the second night is not the same story… Hopefully, in time, it will sell-out. Boy howdy, it would be nice to see some interesting double-bills…

Still more than a month away to buy tickets eh?
I saw Lu in Toronto at Massey Hall on Oct. 11/08 and remember lots of fans purchasing tickets on the night of the concert- capacity approx. 2,800 seats sold approx 75%-same in Ra-cha-cha in March./09The Queen Elizabeth theater in Toronto has 1,256 seats available, and I hope like you David for a great double bill for Lu’s 30th
Regards.
