Stoger, Live Nation has a promotion for every Wednesday, whereby most fees are waived for most shows at Live Nation venues, for example, the Fillmore at Irving Plaza. You really can’t tell the situation for your event until 12:01 AM Wednesday. You can Google the topic, and read various complaints about which fees were removed, and which fees were retained. If you wait till Wednesday, and the shows are sold out, you could go to StubHub, where are the tickets are selling for about $92 each.

Tom, yes you got screwed but at least you’re confirmed to head up that way, right?
I may just sit on it for a few hours (or days). Advice, anyone?
Well, confirmed as far as buying the tickets themselves, yes. We have done nothing further at this point – no plane tickets, no hotel reservations. But, we have every intention of being there – I will be getting the other details wrapped up in the next few days, hopefully.
Regarding the wait for Wednesday – if it were me, I wouldn’t wait for fear of the shows selling out – especially given the size of the market in the NYC metro area. But, then again, I am paranoid – witness above that I was not even willing to wait for Live Nation to “fix” the 3 day discount link for fear of a sell-out!! 😳

August 7, 2009 at 9:41 pm #40391LafayetteParticipantTNT, did you call Live Nation to resolve? Call and see if they will refund the difference with the issues you had…
Stoger, you know, I had trouble with my password when trying to log in to purchase tickets for the Bluebird show. Thank you for solving the mystery. I thought, for just a brief moment, my husband had changed it on me 😆 Nah, he wouldn’t do that. Really.

Naw, call me a cynic, but I think it would be a waste of time. If I were to call, I do believe I would end up talking to some poor sap in India who couldn’t do anything even if she / he wanted to… 🙄
We’ll miss seeing you again as well, CB – we’ll catch up again at a Lu show somewhere soon, I am sure. 😀

As it turns out, things moved more quickly than I anticipated. We are confirmed now for hotel & flight. We are flying up Friday morning the 2nd, and flying back Wednesday the 7th (we are staying a couple of extra days to see the sights). We lucked out on a hotel in Hell’s Kitchen / the Garment District 2.1 miles from the venue w/ a combination of hotel points & a bit of cash. I am stoked!

With the addition of a 9/18 show in Mpls
Any idea where the show is in Mpls? Or when tickets might be available? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Although it is not yet listed at High Road Touring, Pollstar.com is listing this date, and it is indeed at First Avenue. Here is a link.

Out of curiosity, Paul, I just checked and, while tickets are still available for the NYC shows (despite my earlier fear otherwise), fees were still included in the price despite today being Wednesday. Judging from a banner ad at LiveAbomination’s Web site, it seems the “no fee” promotion is only for shows at outdoor ampitheaters…

August 13, 2009 at 3:00 pm #40346tntracyParticipantFor all you folks planning on attending the Chicago shows – I just got an e-mail from Park West (I had signed up for their e-mail list earlier) that tickets go on sale this Saturday the 15th at 10:00 AM CDT. Here are links to purchase tickets:
Tue., Oct 13th
Wed., Oct 14th
Thur., Oct 15thTickets will be $35 each (fees were not listed), and the e-mail did not contain a link for a 3-day pass option like was available for the NYC shows.

August 13, 2009 at 4:13 pm #40347LafayetteParticipantThanks, Tom! I had signed up for the mailing list, but so far, nothing from them in regards to these shows. It’s a GA show but I would still like to purchase tickets.
August 13, 2009 at 4:55 pm #40348paul_from_losangelesParticipantOn Ticketmaster, other Park West events (already on sale) specify options for both GA Floor and GA Balcony for each show; you probably can’t roam between the floor and balcony. The Park West website has photographs, showing little tables, tiny lamps, and open floor space. Here’s a link below to comments about the Park West: generally favorable, but a repeated theme of flexibility about sitting and standing. Seems like a venue where you need to arrive early, just to see the setup, and select your spot.

August 13, 2009 at 7:01 pm #40349tntracyParticipantI just noticed at TicketBastard that, for the Chicago shows, under “Please Note…” that they are identifying these shows as “A FULL HOUSE AND A ROCK N ROLL BAND 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR”, quoting Passionate Kisses. Since I doubt that they would be assigning a name to the tour themselves, I assume this is the “official” tour name. It’s very cool & I, for one, like it!

August 13, 2009 at 7:53 pm #40350Disco StuParticipantThanks for the link, paul. It’ll be interesting to see what the Park West is like. The comments about the difficulty of parking as well as the benefits of getting there early both concern me, but there’s really nothing I can do about it. I won’t be looking for a place to sit, so hopefully I won’t have problems. As for the GA Floor and GA Balcony tickets, I just hope that if there is indeed a distinction between the two that I won’t have a problem getting my tickets Saturday morning. Murphy’s Law dictates that they go onsale when I have another commitment. Fingers crossed that it won’t be a problem.
tntracy, that’s very cool about the tour name. Sounds good to me!
August 14, 2009 at 2:38 am #40351LafayetteParticipantHave faith, it will be all good, tonyg. I’m sending the good mojo vibes your way, both for Saturday and mid October.
August 14, 2009 at 4:29 pm #40352paul_from_losangelesParticipantTicketmaster is now listing a 3-day pass for the Park West, among the selections on-sale on Saturday, August 15, at 10 AM CDT.
