Cool, Lu makes the list w/ Essence. I’m all for that – while many people point to CWOAGR as Lu’s “best” album (not eligible for this list since it was released last decade), if I had to pick one and only one “desert island” Lu album, it would be Essence – I absolutely love this album.
Some great picks otherwise, as well. Rare for me (I tend to gravitate toward female singers), two male singer / songwriters who I was introduced to through Lu collaborations are also on the list – Matthew Ryan & Tim Easton. Both are incredibly talented, IMHO. And, of course, I couldn’t agree more with the inclusion of Kathleen Edward’s Asking for Flowers. If I had to rank my favorite artists, Kathleen would follow only Lu on most of my attempts…
