Another hugely enjoyable show with plenty of variation (for me) from the Amsterdam show. A less rocky start and quite a longish steady middle section with an extra song in the solo section, then things were really cranked up from Out Of Touch onwards. Lucinda really seemed to be enjoying it and chatted quite a fair bit including some amusing recollections about the problems she had with a couple of radio appearances around the time of Sweet Old World and her song selections being deemed as being too dark for the stations’ listeners. As much as I love Lucinda’s own songs it’s always enjoyable hearing her covers and got another new one for my collection last night with her take on RL Burnside’s Going Down South. It would be great tonight to hear one of the others that are appearing on the official set lists especially Nick Lowe’s What’s So Funny About Peace etc, You Can’t Always Get etc, Got Love If You Want It or Jesus Just Left Chicago. (hint hint 😐  )

Thanks, exile. “Over Time” is a significant addition, and I could hear two, three, four Lu solo in mid-set, no offense to the boys.

I was at the show front of stage for the complete set. That was one hell of a set list and the band were magnificent. I don’t know if it was the best Lu gig I’ve been to but I enjoyed it much more than the Brooklyn Bowl gig in January 2016. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at the venue for keeping us supplied with water throughout. It was a nice touch, especially when you’re not allowed to take water in with you and if you went to the bar you’d have probably lost your spot. Applause!

Yes, Brooklyn Bowl sucked. They won’t be playing there again. Exiting the gritty tube station directly into Retail Hell did nothing for my pre-show morale. The church they played next London visit was far superior.

No one will be playing the Brooklyn Bowl again as it closed in January this year!  🙂

I actually enjoyed both the BB shows in spite of the retail hell experience and the trek out east. However it was great to see Lucinda back at the SB Empire after so many years and she certainly seemed to enjoy it a whole lot more! (understatement)  😉

PS I haven’t bothered posting a setlist for the Bexhill show as the full performance is available on Facebook but I will if anyone wants it.

I only went to one of the BB shows, I didn’t think the venue was the only prob. At the show I was at Lu came across a bit agitated and seemed not happy with the sound system. Buick 6 opened and I thought they sounded great.

I certainly didn’t mind trekking out east as I go and watch West Ham quite often, also I went to her show at the Indigo2 some years previously and thought it was brilliant.

I don’t do Facebook so if you could post the Bexhill show setlist here that would be brilliant.
