Can you believe this Forum sent me a message “slow down; you move too fast” and “duplicate topic detected” just after I posted the Providence setlist. I won’t take it personally, and it doesn’t seem like Tony G-crafted syntax. So sceereeeew you Forum, here’s come the next night’s list:
Protection (Lu mutters something like “no water on bus” prior to)
Real Live BF and…
Right in Time
People Talkin’
Drunken A
WEst Memphis
Those 3 Days
2 Kool (Flannery O’Connor is mentioned in intro, along with Imes & Adams)
Sweet Old World (Chris Cornell)
We Have Come Too Far to Turn Around (which again gains a standing O: Lu goes into detail about the documentary film about the Southern loner on the lam from the law which was the occasion of her being asked to write this song, and after it she starts quoting Emma Goldman!)
Steal Y Love
Out of T
Hot Blood
Dust
Essence
Foolishness
Righteously (Lu apologizes for being late to the stage and blasts the bus driver for not “noticing the water in the tank was low”)
________________________________________________
You Cant Always Get What You Want (Lu says she has never understood the lyrics and “blames” Tom for urging them to work the song up, then says “with Mick’s voice and Keith’s guitar, no one notices the lyrics I guess”)
Honeybee (Lu, smiling, emphasizes that it was written about/for Tom)
JoyOK, I will move slowly and now hit “submit” once, avoiding the sin of duplication let’s hope.

August 27, 2017 at 12:16 am #74270tonygKeymasterFrom Tom:
Have to admit that when got to the venue there was a bit of stress. It started when we asked where the PA was and the answer was “it’s over in the shed”.The shed ? Right.
Lu’s crew performed some miracles and all was better. And of course it all turned into another amazing night. The standing ovation Lu got after her new song “We Have Come Too Far To Around” was one the greatest single moments in a Lu show ever. Big time goosebumps, for lack of a better way to put it. The Payomet Performing Arts Center is definitely a unique experience. Obviously people love to see shows and last night the vibe was just beautiful.
