Hartford —The insurance capitol of America. If we had thought of it we would have worked up a version Jimmy Reed’s blues classic Take Out Some Insurance On Me Baby. I can see it now “You’re in good hands with Jimmy Reed”. There was discussion about whether or not we had played Hartford recently and that answer is no -and I don’t know why. I guess we needed some more insurance. Okay Okay we’re wearing that out. I really don’t know why we haven’t played Hartford in at least 12 years—call it a mystery because we’ve played several other places in Connecticut. If nothing else we have definitely rediscovers some places we had been missing on this tour. Anyway -this one definitely checked off al the boxes -great crowd, sold out, great venue, great sounding room, great people to work with, great hospitality -which translates to really great food. And we always like that.
