    Well we can’t let it be all crickets in here so let me give you the update on the new Sweet Old World. We have re-recorded the entire album with Buick 6 and the inimitable Greg Leisz. All 12 songs all shiny and new -and couple of surprises -and let’s just say that Lu is really thrilled with it (“it sounds like a new album” she sez) and nothing else really matters. The working title is This Sweet Old World. We also recorded 4 bonus tracks for some extra sugar on top- and we do now have a finished master so I am very confident that we will hit the 9/29 release date.It really does sound great.

    And most importantly –Have a very Happy and safe 4th of July and hopefully we’ll see you soon as we get back on the bus at the end of the month.

    Ha ha: when in doubt, just add an adjective to the original album title and “make it new.” (Ezra Pound) Looking forward both to Salt Lake I and to the record release come September (right after Americana conf, eh?).

    Just preordered my lp bundle on pledgemusic. Anxious to see the t-shirt design. I’m guessing it will be the album artwork.

    will there be a deluxe version with a live set from back in the day?  (a la the previous reissue?)
